1 cup boiling water
Icing sugar, for dusting
Cream, for serving, optional

1 cup boiling water
Icing sugar, for dusting

Method

1. COMBINE the milk, butter, egg and vanilla. Sift together the flour, caster sugar, cocoa and baking powder. Pour in the milk mixture and stir to combine. Spoon into 4 greased 200ml ramekins. Sprinkle each with a little brown sugar and extra cocoa then pour ¼ cup boiling water over each.
2. BAKE in a moderately hot oven 190°C for 20-30 minutes. Stand for 5 minutes before serving, dusted with icing sugar and a dollop of cream.
Chocolate pudding is the perfect comfort food in winter. These individual ones are a real treat and easy too!
