These delicious little French cakes are easy to make and great for afternoon tea. They're rich and delicious biscuits perfect for treating your family or taking to friends as a home made gift.
Method
1. STIR together the butter, buttermilk, egg and banana. Add the ground nuts and sifted dry ingredients and mix well.
2. SPOON a heaped teaspoon of mixture into each well greased madeleine pan.
3. BAKE in a moderate oven 180oC for 10-15 minutes or until cooked when tested. Turn out and allow to cool completely on a wire rack before drizzling with melted chocolate. Allow chocolate to firm before serving.
