White chocolate and OREO Sprinkles complement the crisp apple in this fun recipe. These choc-coated apple pops are the perfect treat for a kids' party
Method
1. PLACE the chocolate in a microwave proof container and microwave on 50% power for 40-50 seconds. Stir the chocolate and repeat. If necessary, microwave on 50% power for a further 20-30 seconds and stir until melted and smooth. Stir in oil and mix well.
2. INSERT a thick skewer or pop stick in each of the apples. Dip each apple in chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, then place on a baking paper lined tray. Sprinkle with the OREO Sprinkles and allow to set at room temperature. Alternately you may prefer to coat the base of the apple in the OREO. Pops may be stored and served chilled or at room temperature as desired.
TIP:
This amount of chocolate will fully coat 6 apples or half coat 12.
The apples can be wrapped in cellophane bags and used as party favours.
