Velvet Pie

Serves 6

Ingredients

1/2 cup plain flour
3 tablespoons Cadbury® Bournville® Cocoa, sifted
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup sugar
1 cup cream
1 cup milk
4 eggs, lightly beaten
100g butter, melted

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  2. Pour into a greased straight-sided 25 cm pie dish.
  3. Bake for 1 hour. Stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
  4. Serve warm with cream.


Note: The ingredients will separate whilst cooking to make a crunchy topping, a creamy chocolate custard filling and a doughy base.
