Chocolate Pistachio Tart

Ingredients
PASTRY
100g butter, softened
100g icing sugar
1 egg
250g plain flour
CHOCOLATE GANACHE
100ml cream
200g (8 rows) Cadbury® Dark Cooking Chocolate, chopped
2 teaspoons butter
PISTACHIO CUSTARD
100ml milk
4 egg yolks
150g sugar
1 tablespoon Cadbury® Bournville® Cocoa
100ml cream
50g pistachio nuts
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Make the pastry first. Mix the butter and icing sugar together to form a paste. Add the egg, and stir until combined. Sift in the flour and mix the pastry well.
- Roll out, then line a lightly buttered fluted flan dish. Cover with plastic cling film and leave in a cool place while preparing the custard.
- Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring to the boil.
- Mix the egg yolks, sugar and cocoa together. Stir in the heated milk. Return the mixture to the saucepan and stir over a low heat until it thickens.
- Add the cream and pistachio nuts. Stir until the cream thickens again. Pour into the pastry crust and bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove from the oven. Cool.
- Make the ganache. Heat the cream in a saucepan until boiling. Remove from the heat. Add the chocolate and stir until melted and smooth. Add the butter and stir until combined.
- Pour over the cooled, cooked custard. Allow to set before serving.
